Ashton’s Place Therapy Centre is co-located with our head office in Currumbin Valley.

The ACE Programme (Autism Connect Early Programme) is an evidence based Early Intervention Programme based on gradual and meaningful inclusion. The ACE Programme utilises a transdisciplinary model of therapy to support children in their naturalistic setting, as per the NDIS recommendations for service provision.
We deliver our intervention in tiers of support, using two distinct tiers, because we know that this is what works best. Within the ACE Programme, professionals (such as occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, special education teachers or behaviour support practitioners), are responsible for assessing children, identifying children’s learning needs, and developing activities/approaches best suited to meeting those identified needs.
The ACE Programme is designed to support children with autism in developing essential skills for daily life. Using structured routines, sensory-friendly environments, and tailored learning strategies, ACE empowers children to communicate, engage, and thrive.
Ashton’s Place offers paediatric speech pathology supports for children that focus on enhancing multimodal communication skills and social connection through play.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred approach used to understand and improve challenging behaviours. It aims to enhance quality of life for the individual by focusing on prevention, teaching new skills, and modifying environments, rather than using punishment or control.
At Ashtons Place our Positive Behaviour support team recognises and understands that all behaviour has a function. Each child undergoes a detailed assessment process, that ensures all support recommendations, tools and strategies are individualised according to each individual’s developmental profile.
Sessions are led by experienced professionals who take a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach. Support is offered through a mix of individual coaching, small group workshops, and practical tools you can use at home.
